Phase 1 Groundbreaking Ceremony - Platte County High School
Following the Pirate Baseball's 14-0 win against Ruskin on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, we broke ground for Platte County High School's Phase 1 Rebuild. This goes down in history as the final game ever at the current Pirate's Stadium because the field will be the site of the new project.

Thank you to the PCHS Cheerleaders, PCHS incoming Student Body President Maddelynn Darst, PCHS PTSA, Platte City Mayor Tony Paolillo, PCR-3 Board of Education, PCHS and District Administration and all the designers and construction team for participating.

The complete Platte County High School rebuild is proposed to have approximately 280,000 square feet of new construction and will be designed to house approximately 1,600 students. The total rebuild of PCHS is scheduled to be funded and completed in three phases. This first phase will include a two-story addition on the southwest side of PCHS where the current baseball field is located. This phase will include 26 classrooms, including science labs and STEM/computer labs; a new gymnasium complex, weight room and health classroom; cafeteria commons; and kitchen/serving area. Phase 1 will also include a new baseball field and improved parking and traffic patterns.

Estimated completion of Phase 1 is December of 2022.

We are looking forward to seeing the construction progress! While we will miss Pirate Park, we are grateful to see the last game ever on the field and look towards the future. We are excited to see the beginning of what's coming for the Platte County R-3 School District and Platte County High School Athletics, Activities, and more!
